Rustic Tweets from Nature by Dolan Geiman!
I do apologise for my absence, work commitments have prevented me from blogging. I have been wanting to share the intriguing work of Dolan Geiman with you for ages so here it is....
Dolan Geiman is a very talented mixed-media artist specialising in collages and constructions from a wide range of recycled materials including wood, old paper and even coins. I love the rustic and textured effects Dolan creates in his work and the 3d aspect brings greater intrigue and uniqueness to his designs.
Dolan currently lives and works in Chicago, however he was born in the beautiful surroundings of The Shenandoah Valley. I can imagine his natural surroundings have had a significant effect on the work he creates today, capturing a stunning array of flora, fauna and birdies. Graphic surface patterns and bold geometric shapes provide an interesting contrast and quirkiness throughout his pieces.

Nature Through the Eyes of Kate Wyatt!
This time last year I was on a little holiday with a friend to Cornwall, Devon and Dorset and I stumbled across fine art prints by this very talented artist. Born in the country myself I have a real love of nature and I couldn't help myself from featuring these little creatures. Looking at these paintings fondly reminds me of my childhood of reading Watership Down and watching The Animals of Farthing Wood.
I love the energetic lines Kate creates within her work. Wiry whiskers, fluffy feathers and bushy tails are brought to life through her paintings. I was therefore not surprised when I read that Kate creates her sketches from real life in nearby fields and woodlands in the British Countryside. It is clear to see why Kate has become one of the UK's leading wildlife painters and has exhibited internationally. I find her watercolour paintings captivating and I hope you do also.

I have been meaning to share the enchanting work of British artist and illustrator Kim Anderson with you for a long time. Since spring has most certainly arrived I thought there seemed no better time, so hopefully her designs will bring a little sunshine to your day too!
As soon as I spotted Kim's work I was drawn in to the intricate and beautiful detail she captures in her designs. Working on a range of mixed media surfaces, Kim combines techniques of paper collage, paint, pen and ink and embellishment. Daniel Zeller's Imagination and Extreme Magnification
Today I am sharing the work of the contemporary and abstract artist Daniel Zeller with you. I was instantly captivated by the fluid and spontaneous nature of his work and was intrigued to explore it further.
The ideas behind Daniel's weird and wonderful artwork are "borrowed from many places, among them satellite images, electron micro-graphs, topographical maps, anatomical and schematic diagrams." Sourced Zeller
"There is no direct reference to anything in particular, it is more as if all of these sources are thrown together in a pot, forming a kind of soup that is constantly being stirred and sampled. In a sense the drawings become an act of digestion and regurgitation; reconfiguration driven by information overload.” Sourced Zeller
